Kategorie: PL35 pattern

The PL35 ceiling panel is built around the classic Gothic quatrefoil motif. Its composition is inspired by the tracery and stone screens of 13th–15th century European cathedrals, later widely revived in 19th-century Victorian Gothic Revival design. Four intersecting arcs form a four-leaf outline, with cusped, leaf-like tips at each junction, recalling the mystique of rose windows. A finely textured background contrasts with the smooth curves, making the pattern stand out in strong relief. The outer frame uses stepped mouldings and simplified pointed-arch accents in the corners, preserving the vertical tension of medieval architecture while giving it a restrained, geometric character.
The strengths of PL35 lie in its refined yet highly recognizable design: the clean quatrefoil rhythm avoids excessive ornament but still delivers a strong sense of ceremony. When multiple panels are installed, the four-way symmetry naturally extends into a continuous Gothic lattice ceiling, creating an elegant and tranquil atmosphere. The pronounced relief produces subtle light-and-shadow effects, giving the ceiling understated richness and detail—ideal for neo-classical, Gothic Revival, or contemporary eclectic interiors.
