Material Safety & Test Reports

At PAINTSDECOR, we believe material information should be easy to find and review. Our faux tin ceiling tiles use a common vinyl-based material. The independent laboratory reports below provide measurements for the specific samples identified in each document.

These reports present test results, not a universal fire rating or a certification of every design, finish, or installed ceiling system. Please review the complete reports and your local project requirements before making a specification decision.

Surface Burning Characteristics

Intertek test report · Report No. 230620006SHF-001 · Issued June 28, 2023

The tested sample was identified as PAINTSDECOR faux tin ceiling tiles (vinyl tile), model PL19 (TD19). Testing followed ASTM E84-23.

  • Flame Spread Index (FSI): 20
  • Smoke Developed Index (SDI): 55

The report states these measured results but does not assign a fire classification. Classification and suitability should be assessed against the requirements applicable to your location and installation.

Volatile Matter (VOM) & Soluble Heavy Metals

SGS test report · Report No. SHAHL25019726901 · Issued August 20, 2025

The submitted sample was described as a vinyl ceiling tile; the test part was a white plastic piece with a colorful print. Testing followed GB 18586-2001.

  • Volatile matter (VOM): 1.2 g/m² (reported limit: 10 g/m²).
  • Soluble lead (Pb): Not detected (method detection limit: 5 mg/m²; reported limit: 20 mg/m²).
  • Soluble cadmium (Cd): Not detected (method detection limit: 5 mg/m²; reported limit: 20 mg/m²).

“Not detected” means below the stated method detection limit; it does not mean an absolute zero concentration.
